The last F/W collection from Alexander McQueen, which we might still be lucky enough to get from their website and third-party retailers, was fantastically spooky. Yet, Mrs. Sarah Burton who started as Alexander McQueen’s personal assistant seemed like have lost her Central Saint Martiness or pushed it so far.
She might have lost her interest pursuing overwhelming but attractive patterns, however, where are the details? Headpieces from Alexander McQueen have been a ritual, sometimes exciting, sometimes weird, sometimes crazy, but this time, they were basically stupid, bunch of burned chicken! Wearability is great, still where is the soul and spirit behind Alexander McQueen- the fabulous darkness! All those plaids were simply channeling Comme Des Garcons in an absolutely substandard way! Those kilt-inspired who-knows-what looked interesting, but still lacked the power to save the collection.
